“The say good things come to those who wait, so I’m a be at least an hour late” – Kanye West // Travis is a huge Kanye West fan (see below) so I had to use this song lyric for Lauren and Travis’ Victoria of Rosemont Wedding.
I first spoke with Lauren and Travis about a year ago as they were deep into planning their Victoria of Rosemont wedding. The couple lived in Minneapolis, but are both from Chicago and were planning their wedding from afar as best they could. They booked their reception hall, Victoria of Rosemont, and were still up in the air on the location for the ceremony. They both love the outdoors so I suggested a forest preserve and they loved the idea! A late September wedding could be eighty degrees and sunny, or it could be freezing and rainy, so obviously both Lauren and I were stalking the weather reports as the day approached!
The day arrived and it was overcast, but zero chance of rain and it was spectacular! Can I just tell you how much I adored the details that Lauren and Travis put into their Victoria of Rosemont wedding! From Lauren’s purple sparkly Kate Spade shoes to her grandfathers military pins that her mom had put on her bouquet as a surprise (so sweet!). As I mentioned, Travis is a HUGE Kanye fan and you will see traces of it in the wedding details. Check out the custom Kanye West cufflinks that Lauren had made for Travis and the cake topper (“forever eva, forever eva?”)
The couple had one of the sweetest first looks I have ever witnessed. The ceremony was held under a huge oak tree with the aisle lined with hearts. As expected, the wedding reception did not disappoint! The DJ did a fantastic job and the dancefloor was packed all.night.long! Come on now, how cute are Lauren and Travis!
