“Never let anyone tell you love is anything less than everything” – Mark Anthony // This romantic Chicago elopement was a long time in the making.
I met Jami and Jon two years ago when they hired me to shoot their engagement photos. During a photo session I always make small talk and get to know my couples. Jami and Jon are just the sweetest couple and have so much love for each other. Jami contacted me last summer explaining that her and Jon were planning a small wedding and would love me to capture it. Life got in the way and plans changed and the couple rescheduled their wedding one more year. Fast forward to this Spring and I was over the moon when Jami reached out saying “it’s finally happening!”
Jami and Jon planned a Chicago elopement at Chicago City Hall and I was honored to be a part of their big day! I met the bride at the Palmer House Hilton for a few getting ready photos as well as a first look with the groom. We then headed to Chicago City Hall for the Chicago elopement. The ceremony was short but sweet and full of smiles. After the ceremony the three of us headed all over the city for some gorgeous photos. One of our first stops was the Chicago Theatre. While there we noticed that outside the ABC Chicago News Offices there was a hockey goal set up with the Chicago Wolves mascot. Needless to say “Mr. Wolf” had some fun with the couple! We also went to the LaSalle Bride, the Chicago Riverwalk and the fun mural outside the Flamingo Rum Club.
Jami and Jon, I was honored to capture your romantic Chicago elopement! I wish you both nothing but the best on your new adventure as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”!!!
