“Said woman take it slow and things will be just fine, all we need is just a little patience.” -Guns and Roses / This song was Amy and Austin’s first dance at their Medinah Shrine Center Wedding.
Amy and Austin are a super easy-going, fun-loving couple and it was an absolute joy to work with them for their Medinah Shrine Center Wedding! To share in the couples love for trivia, here are some fun facts I adored about this wedding:
- Amy’s garter flask – how have I not seen this before?
- Amy’s best friend was not only her man of honor but also her makeup artist, how sweet!
- Amy and her Dad taking a pre-wedding shot together 🙂
- The couple’s first concert together was Guns n Roses, so they picked the song “Patience” for their first dance.
- Amy’s Dad worked at the Medinah Shrine Center for 8 years, so their reception location was an obvious choice.
- The weather report called for rain so Amy’s mom brought her vintage red umbrella for photo’s – there was no rain but I love these shots!
- Austin is a chef at the Waldorf Astoria and Amy is a barber – enter in the cutest cake topper!
- On each table there was a trivia quiz with fun facts about the couple.
- One of the couples closest friends, Anthony, was the officiant.
- The way Austin makes Amy laugh, it’s contageous!
- My favorite fact about Amy & Austin is when I asked them to explain each other in 3 words they said “meant to be” (the sweetest answer I’ve ever heard to this question!!!)
Amy & Austin, I cannot thank you enough for letting me be a part of your amazing Medinah Shrine Center Wedding. Big hugs, Lisa
