Let’s elope in Chicago! What a fun idea!
Reggie and Sabrina reached out to me to photograph their Chicago City Hall wedding a couple months ago. Yep, I love me a Chicago city hall wedding so of course I said “let’s elope in Chicago!” We started at Chicago City Hall with a brief but laughter filled ceremony. After the ceremony we headed to the Chicago Board of Trade building to capture some sweet photo’s in the heart of Chicago. I have to admit I have only photographed at that location on Saturdays and this was a weekday. To my surprise we still made it work and no one got run over. From the Board of Trade building we headed to the Chicago riverwalk. It was a beautiful sunny day and the Chicago river was sparkling. Lastly, we visited the iconic Wrigley building to give the couple a good amount of Chicago sights in their photo’s. I love the area right behind the Wrigley building with the pillars and the boardwalk.
I love getting to know my couples as we take photo’s together. As we walked around the city we chatted about what brought the couple to Chicago. Reggie and Sabrina are originally from China and Reggie was offered a job in Kansas City, Kansas. They lived there for about eight months but longed for the big city life like home. Soon after Reggie got a job transfer and the couple decided to take the plunge and said “let’s elope in Chicago!” I’m so glad they did!
Reggie and Sabrina, you are lovely souls inside and out and I hope you continue to enjoy our beautiful city as a married couple 🙂 – Lisa
