“If I had my life to live again, I’d find you sooner” – Kobi Yamada // This quote is perfect for Cindy and Steve’s Floating World Gallery Wedding!
Cindy had contacted me about a year before her Floating World Gallery wedding inquiring if I had the date free for her and her fiance, Steve’s, intimate Chicago wedding. Cindy and Steve had been in multiple weddings and wanted their day to be simple, intimate and FUN…. mission accomplished! The Floating World Gallery in Lincoln Park was the perfect venue to host their wedding. The couple had their ceremony in the Floating World Gallery’s loft – style back room. After the beautiful ceremony the guests moved into the front art gallery room for dinner. This location was perfect for some photo’s on their gorgeous terrace, the alley next to the building and I got a little creative on the beautiful wooden stairwell (some of my favorite shots!). The wedding coordinator at Floating World Gallery, Allen, was so helpful suggesting photo locations and answering every question I had to make sure the couples day went smoothly and as stress-free as possible. As a Chicago wedding photographer I can’t stress what a great help this was, a HUGE thank you goes out to Allen for making my job easier!
The couple had originally met in Chicago and now live out of state, big-up’s to Cindy and Steve for pulling together their Floating World Gallery from afar with class. Cindy and Steve are the sweetest couple and you can tell they had a blast at their Floating World Gallery wedding! I love the expressions on their faces during their first dance surrounded by their friends and family. I cannot thank Cindy and Steve enough for letting me capture their first memories as husband and wife! xo, Lisa
