“Some people are worth melting for” – Frozen // This incredibly cute (and cheesy) quote reminds me of Brittany and Grant’s gorgeous Fishermen’s Inn winter wedding.
I met Brittany and Grant last year when they entered my 2018 engagement give-away and won! (There is still time to enter my 2019 give-away HERE.) We scheduled their engagement session for the spring and we had so much fun that they hired me to be their photographer for their Fishermen’s Inn winter wedding. When you plan a wedding for December 29th you hope for snow, a winter wonderland! Throughout December we had hardly any snow and an unusually warm Christmas. Both Brittany and I had given up on the winter wonderland wedding we both dreamed of…but then something magical happened. The day arrived and low and behold, it SNOWED! It was absolutely stunning and everything Brittany and Grant wanted for their Fishermen’s Inn winter wedding!
The couple had a beautiful catholic ceremony at St. Raphael’s in Naperville. How stunning is this church with the stained glass and the Holiday decorations! After the ceremony the wedding party headed to Jimmys Grill, where Brittany and Grant met to take some fun photo’s! I then took the bride and groom to the Naperville riverwalk to snap a few shots before heading to the reception at Fishermen’s Inn in Elburn, Illinois. I LOVED this venue! Fishermen’s Inn is absolutely stunning and everyone who works there is so wonderful! We took advantage of the beautiful grounds with the snow falling around us for some amazing portraits of the bride and groom.
Brittany + Grant – I cannot thank you enough for letting me be a part of your beautiful winter wedding day! I wish you nothing but happiness and you start this chapter of your life as Mr. and Mrs.! xo, Lisa Kay
