Cassie’s sister, Marni, was actually the first person to reach out to me inquiring about her sisters City Winery Chicago Wedding. Seriously, how sweet is it that Cassies sister was doing some of the legwork for her wedding planning! When I met with Cassie and Dan to discuss their wedding details I liked them immediately. Not only are they the cutest couple, but they are just so kind and fun to be around. The day of their engagement session started off really beautiful and ended with crazy fog – ruining the skyline view that we wanted. This coupe just rolled with it and it turned out to be really romantic and pretty – see their engagement here.
As the wedding day approached both Cassie and I were watching the weather reports and the anticipated rain turned into sunshine and the day was spectacular! Cassie and Dan had a first look at their hotel before heading out to the Chicago Riverwalk for wedding party portraits. The ceremony was held at the City Winery and it was stunning! The ivy covered brick wall with string lights and wine barrels – it’s a photographers dream! I knew this ceremony was going to be spectacular when the groomsmen walked down the aisle to the Game of Thrones theme song! From the personalized vows that had everyone cracking up to the way these two look at each other this City Winery Chicago wedding was just amazing. The reception floor was packed all night long, everyone had such a great time!
