From my first phone call with Kelly and Kevin I knew immediately that they were my kind of couple. As we went over the details about their City View Loft wedding they explained to met that it was going to be semi non-traditional. They went on to explain that they loved candid “non-stiff” photo’s full of laughter. Seriously, this is music to my ears! During the couples engagement shoot I got to know Kelly and Kevin even better. I found out that Kelly is originally from Michigan (like me) and Kevin grew up in Park Ridge (like my husband)! Talk about coincidences 🙂
We started the day at the Gwen hotel for some getting ready photos and the first look on a rooftop off the couples suite. After the first look Kelly, Kevin and I went all over the city for photo’s (yaaas!). We started at Olive Park to capture the skyline and the lakeshore. After that we headed to the Chicago Board of Trade. We ended our photo tour at some murals in Logan Square – my favorite!
The City View Loft Wedding ceremony was absolutely stunning and there were many laughs throughout the vows. As the couple was announced as Mr. and Mrs. they danced down the aisle to “All I Do Is Win” by DJ Khalid! Told ya they were the coolest couple ever! The reception was also held at City View Lofts and it was stunning with the string lights and the Chicago Skyline view! The band Recycle the Day had the dance floor packed all night long as the guests partied the night away.
