As a Chicago proposal photographer I truly love how much time and effort that the men who contact me really put into this special moment, including hiring me to photograph their proposal, Brian was no exception for his Chicago riverwalk proposal! Brian contacted me three weeks prior to ask about availability for a late night Chicago riverwalk proposal to his longtime girlfriend, Erika. It was a Friday night that I was available and I was excited to capture this moment for the couple. The couple was from out of town so I organized the entire thing with Brian. Brian had made dinner reservations at Chicago Cut Steakhouse and we organized exactly where he should lead his girlfriend, Erika, after dinner so I would get a good shot of his proposal, her face as she realizes what is happening as well as the beautiful Chicago riverwalk lights at night in the background. I have done my fair share of Chicago proposal photography and never before have I seen such a GREAT reaction from the girlfriend! As Brian and Erika got to the designated spot we had agreed to along the Chicago riverwalk, he turned around and got down on his knee, Erika’s reaction instantly went from shock to pure and utter joy – seriously how sweet is that face!!! After I gave the couple some moments alone I took them down along the Chicago river to capture some photo’s to remember the night. I cannot thank Brian for being so detail oriented and pro-active when planning his Chicago riverwalk proposal, I’m sure Erika (and their families) will cherish these photo’s forever. x0 – Lisa
