“No measure of time with you will be long enough, but let’s start with forever” // I was honored capture Kayla and Grants Chicago proposal photography!
One of the coolest parts of my job is to witness and capture once-in-a-lifetime moments for my clients. Grant reached out to me a couple of months ago asking if I could capture his Chicago proposal photography. We went over all the details – the exact date, time, location, proposal plan and where I would be “hiding” 🙂 Grant loved the idea of going to the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk , it would be the perfect excuse to walk around before the couple went to the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights. I asked Grant to send me a photo of the couple so I knew who I would be looking for (very important!) The plan worked perfectly and I spotted the couple and tried my best to look like a tourist taking photo’s until the big moment. Grant said a few words and then got down on one knee and SHE SAID YES! I was so honored to capture this romantic Chicago proposal!
After the big moment I came out of my hiding spot to get a few more photo’s of the couple, a little “mini-engagement” session of sorts. Grant and Kayla met while they were both studying abroad in Prague. They were both at the airport on their way back home and their plane was delayed. They started chatting and the rest is history, talk about fate! I told them both that it sounded like a Lifetime movie, what girl doesn’t want a fairy tale like that!?
