“I searched a thousand forevers for you, only you” – perry poetry// Chris and Jordan’s North Avenue beach engagement took place this past fall when the leaves were golden and it was warm enough to not have to wear a giant winter coat.
I’m a bit behind on my blogging due to an amazing year of weddings (one left to go!). I have had so many amazing clients and I try to blog about each session. This North Avenue beach engagement is one not to miss. Jordan and Chris wanted to go somewhere where we could highlight the fall colors (check), the Chicago skyline (check) and also bring their dog, Gatsby along (the cutest little guy!). I immediately thought of Lincoln Park area called the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk. I’m pretty sure this was the last weekend before the cold set in and the fall colors were in full display! Gatsby had his seersucker bow tie on and was ready for his close-up 🙂
After the Lincoln Park area there was a quick outfit change and then we walked over to North Avenue Beach for some shots of the couple with the amazing Chicago skyline as the sun went down. Like 99% of my couples, these two were a bit nervous to have their engagement photos taken. I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve to make sure the couple had fun and a few of these ended up making Jordan and Chris crack up (most of the time not with me, but at my request’s, but whatever works, right?)
Jordan and Chris, thank you so much for trusting me with your engagement photos! You two (and Gatsby!) were a joy to work with and I can’t wait for your wedding next year at The Pavilion at Orchard Ridge! Hugs, Lisa Kay
