Admittedly, I do not photograph a ton of babies… But the nature of my job is that I photograph weddings, and a lot of these lovely couples go on to have beautiful babies. It warms my heart when my past couples contact me to see if I can capture their or their friends newborn photo’s. Connors Chicago lifestyle newborn photography session was one of these cases.
Connors parents are close friends with a family I have worked with for years. When they contacted me I gave them my speech of “I don’t really photograph babies a lot” and I sent them some examples of my lifestyle approach to newborn photography sessions as well as names of some other truly talented newborn photographers I know. Low and behold they said they loved my style and we set a date for the session.
Chicago lifestyle newborn photography sessions are a process and you have to be patient. Baby Connor was such a doll! When I arrived he was wide awake and we got some great photo’s of mom and dad holding him and everyone on the bed. During Chicago lifestyle newborn photography sessions I love to get a mix of the baby awake as well as sleeping like an angel. Connor took a little time to tucker out but finally he went to sleep and was SO GOOD as we switched out hats and got some adorable shots of him! His parents met at Michigan State University so I couldn’t resist grabbing the little MSU Spartan hat to put on Connor!
Although I don’t do it often, it is such a joy to give parents these images!
