“That was her magic, she could still see the sunset, even on those darkest days” – Atticus // This Chicago golden hour wedding was the stuff of my dreams.
It all started with Art. Growing up art class my hands down my number one favorite class. I couldn’t wrap my head around science or math, but art just came naturally to me. Whether it was painting, ceramics or jewelry making I loved creating something one of a kind, something uniquely mine. It’s no surprise to my family that when I caught the photography bug I felt the same, as an artist creating one of a kind pieces of art, not just for me, but now for my clients. As a Chicago wedding photographer you don’t always get to control the wedding day. Things running late, weather and circumstances can all ruin the one epic shot you had in mind for the wedding couple. This is exactly why once or twice a year I organize a styled wedding shoot so I can make art, just for me (click here to see one from last year).
This Chicago golden hour wedding was the stuff of my dreams. I wanted to bring a bride and groom out to an open field at sunset and get some super romantic shots of them with a dramatic sky. The stars aligned and I found the perfect models (via instagram, holla!) and the perfect post-storm clouds. I could not have done this without an amazing team of vendors involved: Models: Amelia Straw & Tunji Ladipo / Bridal Gowns: Diana’s Bridal / Floral:Dahlia Blooms / Makeup: Meghana Prasad / Hair: Angelene O’Brien, Sola Salon Park Ridge
Thanks for making dreams reality! XO, Lisa
