I received an email from Leslie a couple of months ago asking if I was available for a specific date in March for her Chicago City Hall wedding. I was available and if you follow my instagram or blogs, you know how much I adore Chicago courthouse weddings. Leslie and Jesus have one of those love stories that makes you believe in fate. Leslie is originally from Alabama and recently moved to Chicago for a teaching job and met Jesus when he was on leave from the Marine Corp last year. On their first date they really clicked and knew it was something special. In fact, it went so well that when Jesus was on leave again over Christmas they spent the entire time together. You can see the connection these two have in the photo’s below – how freaking cute are they?!?
We started the day with a first look and it was so sweet! After that we walked across the street to Chicago City Hall for the ceremony where both Jesus and Leslie had written out vows for one another. After the ceremony the three of us walked around Chicago to capture the couple in the city where their love story began. One of my favorite moments was when we walked by the Oriental Theatre we noticed that Pretty Woman the musical was playing and Jesus jumped at this amazing photo opp!
This Chicago City Hall wedding was everything that the couple wanted it to be and it was my honor to capture these memories for them. Leslie & Jesus, I wish you many more days of belly laughs! xo, Lisa
