Chicago Wedding Photography // Alex + Kirstyn's Chicago Athletic Association Wedding

“It’s you. It has always been you.” // This quote seems quite fitting for Kirstyn and Alex’s Chicago Athletic Association Wedding I was honored to be a part of.

I first met Kirstyn and Alex about a year ago to chat about being the wedding photographer for their Chicago Athletic Association wedding. We got together to chat about the wedding details, but I always like to use these meetings to get to know my couples as well. When I asked Kirstyn and Alex how they met, they smiled and looked at each other. They have known each other since kindergarten people (!!!), although they didn’t start dating until much later because, ya know, boys have cooties 🙂 Needless to say Kirstyn and Alex have been dating for many years and I think that their friends and families were just as excited to finally see this wedding happen! This Chicago Athletic Association wedding will go down as one of my favorites, not because of the gorgeous, swoon-worthy, location, but solely because of Kirstyn and Alex. Not only are they both kind, warm and sweet, but just LOOK at the way they look at each other! If this isn’t #couplegoals I really don’t know what is! I have to give an extra special thank you to Sarah from Inspired Eye Photography – I always love working with you and together the #dreamteam did it again! Things I can’t get over: the amazing architecture of the Chicago Athletic Association, the bride “knighted” her groom before they cut the cake with a sword, the guest who kept the dance floor PACKED and finally the kickass 2nd dress that Kirstyn changed into was stunning! To Mr. and Mrs. Powell, I can’t thank you enough for letting me capture the first moments of the rest of your life together! Huge hugs, Lisa
