“There is my heart and then there is you, and I’m not sure there is a difference.” – a.r. asher // This quote seemed so perfect for Janessa and Nate’s Brique Chicago Wedding. Once you see the way they look at each other you will understand 🙂
When I first spoke with Janessa and Nate regarding their Brique Chicago wedding I knew their wedding day would be amazing. Maybe because when we met the couple, they were so laid back and we laughed over our coffee the whole meeting. Maybe because they were getting married in an Orthodox Christian wedding ceremony (the same as me!). Maybe because they met in the hospitality industry so I knew they would have so many special touches for their Brique Chicago wedding. Maybe I just had a feeling I really wanted to document their love story. All of my instincts were DEAD ON, Janessa and Nate’s Brique Chicago wedding was AH-MAZ-ING!!!
We started the day getting ready at the couples apartment and from the moment I walked in there was nonstop laughter and smiles. Janessa has the closest relationship with both of her parents so when they both saw her in her wedding dress there were no dry eyes in the house (so sweet!). The ceremony was held at St Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Burr Ridge and was beautiful. After the ceremony we headed to the venue for the remainder of this Brique Chicago Wedding reception. From the farmhouse tables with twinkling candles, specialty craft cocktails and the entire Elmhurst College Jazz Band playing live music for the guest – this wedding goes down in history! The icing on the cake was just the love that Janessa and Nate have – the joy on the brides face all.day.long and the real laughter between these two made for some of my favorite wedding photo’s of all time! Janessa + Nate, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me capture your love story, it’s a day I will not soon forget!!! HUGS, Lisa
